Update:
I can't certify the validity of these documents, but they appear
to be legit. This
document appears to be a list of campaign strategies that the IASC
will be (and has been) using to target skateboarders. This
document appears to be an "IASC Communication Brief".
Both are in Microsoft Word format. Take them both, and judge for
yourself. Thanks to the hundreds of skaters, shop owners, industry
folks, and skateboard advocates that have contacted me.
Update 2: I've just had email correspondence
with Neftalie Williams from Dwindle. You can read it here
(MS Word format) (Last updated at 5:44 Central time on Feb
14).
Update 3: I got word that at least
one shop in the list
has been contacted by someone in the industry asking how they felt
about the "Under
Fire" report. Tell them the truth. If you recieved
a copy of it and have an opinion one way or the other, tell them
how you feel. It's becoming quite obvious that they really don't
know how you feel. Give them a clue. By the way, independent
shops rule... if anything kills skateboarding, it's going to be
mall chains and mailorder.
Update 4: I've been on a million phone
calls with a lot of heads now, and I've shared a trillion emails
with everybody else (which is more awesome than I can explain).
Though it hasn't happened yet, I want to post a warning to any people
that may try to manipulate me: any offered bribes will be made public
on this site, and I'll do my damndest to embarrass you. Let's keep
it real, raw, and simple.
Update 5: I'm pleased to present the
Bud
Stratford essays.
Update 6: Transworld
Skateboarding versus Transworld Business.
Update 7: Download your own copy of
Under Fire
(pdf). |
